This was a gift for my wife. Her favorite fragrance is Hanae Mori #3, which was discontinued years ago. So, I bought three alternative fragrances by Hanae Mori (Butterfly EDT, Butterfly EDP, and HANAE).
Based on my wife’s feedback, she gave Butterfly EDT a 3.5/5, so I rounded up to a 4/5. She said Butterfly EDP has a better and “richer” scent profile and gave it a 4/5. She gave HANAE the lowest rating, 3/5, saying it smells “dated,” overly powdery, and like something her grandmother would wear.
To be fair, fragrances are difficult to review because they are highly subjective, with everyone having different preferences. Hope this review helps others.

It is light enough for spring and summer, but it also has a deeper scent that I like for winter and fall too. It’s not quite floral, but there is an element there, not quite Vanilla, but it has a sweetness, and it has something earthy like a Copal. I love all of it and finally got myself another bottle. It's subtle yet very long wearing - almost like a natural layer on your skin. Since the passing of the company's founder, this scent has been very hard for me to find in the US. I finally ordered from the company itself. It arrived within a week. Lovely packaging, sweet notes, and a few samples of other fragrances. I've read that Butterfly is being discontinued. Please don't!
